From the Artist:
This is a delicate set of short vignettes, loops, and drones played with a slowcore bent on acoustic guitar that I put together in tribute to my late friend, Maurice. Many were recorded with him right next to me in our bedroom--along with incidental ambient sounds--and I think he enjoyed it when I played. Most were recorded on a cell phone, a couple recorded with mics into a four-track recorder, then I added sounds of a birthday party we had for him in 2022 along with some other environmental recordings of sounds we heard from our window. I also added a few keys here and there. And the titles refer to times we had together or things from his life (for instance, he was rescued from Hurricane Katrina in 2005!).
